Red Cross babysitter's training course

The American Red Cross will offer a babysitter's training course from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, at Washington County Red Cross, 1131 Conrad Court, Hagerstown. The course is for young people ages 11 to 15. Space is limited and advance registration is required. Call 301-739-0717.

Little Maestros classes

The six-week sessions running from Nov. 3 to Dec. 17; woodwinds, Jan. 5 to Feb. 11; brass, Feb. 23 to April 8, and string/orchestra, April 20 to May 27. Classes are Tuesday mornings at Paramount Elementary; Wednesday mornings at Eastern Elementary; and Thursday evenings at Barbara Ingram School for the Arts. Each session costs $45 per student. Hagerstown Community College's Center for Continuing Education will offer "Builders and Heretics" Fridays, Nov. 6, through Nov. 20. HCC's Valley Mall Center.
