North girls earn 2A West top seed

The North Hagerstown girls earned the top seed in Class 2A West as the MPSSAA released the brackets Monday for the regional soccer tournaments.

The Hubs have a first-round bye and will play host to either Century or North Carroll in a region quarterfinal game on Nov. 3.

Clear Spring is the highest-seeded boys team in Washington County, grabbing the No. 2 seed in Class 1A West. The Blazers also drew a first-round bye and will host Williamsport in the quarterfinals on Nov. 3.

First-round regional games begin Thursday. Region winners advance to the state semifinals on Nov. 13 and 14. The state championship games will be held Nov. 19-21 at University of Maryland-Baltimore County.
