Fall cleanup day at Conococheague Elementary

October 26, 2009

The Green School Committee at Conococheague Elementary School coordinated and hosted a fall cleanup day at the school on Oct. 10.

Families donated time, energy and tools to the effort, which included planting new native Maryland wildflowers in the flower beds, spreading mulch under the playground equipment and raking leaves from the school grounds.

Conococheague also benefitted from the work of seven members of Citibank's Credit Operations Department during the United Way of Washington County's Day of Caring on Oct. 7. The team, led by Ted Woiccak and Vince Bourdeau, edged sidewalks, pulled weeds from flower beds and prepared new planting beds.
