FREDERICK, Md. -- A Frederick woman died Tuesday from injuries she sustained in a two-vehicle collision earlier that day on Ballenger Creek Pike at U.S. 340 in Frederick County, according to a press release sent Friday by the Maryland State Police.
Tracey Lamar Andrews, 41, died at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, troopers said.
The driver of the other vehicle, John Thomas Sparks, 28, of Cumberland, Md., still is being treated at shock trauma.
State police said in a press release issued Tuesday that neither driver's injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
The accident occurred about 12:20 p.m. when a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer that Andrews was driving west on Md. 180 over the bridge crossing U.S. 340 cut across the center line and collided with a 2009 Ford Focus driven by Sparks, the release that was issued Tuesday said.
