B. Naomi Ardinger, 88, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, at Loyalton of Hagerstown.

Born Friday, May 20, 1921, in Clear Spring, Md., she was the daughter of the late Victor O. Bartles and Nellie R. Repp Bartles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George L. Ardinger, in 1981.

She graduated in 1939 from Hagerstown High School.

She was employed by Troy Laundry, Moler's, Fairchild, the Hagerstown Fair Board and the Washington County Board of Elections.

Naomi was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Jorja J. Kline and husband, Gary, of Myersville, Md.; stepson, C. Stephan Ardinger of Falling Waters, W.Va.; one granddaughter, Lesley R. Kline of Alexandria, Va.; a special niece, Angela Shindle of Hagerstown; and other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Shindle and Louise Shuck; and two brothers, Pearre Bartles and Stanley Bartles.

Services will be Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, with Pastor Tim Ritchey-Martin officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends Monday, Oct. 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
