Hagerstown Community College's Center for Continuing Education is offering a new history course on the Franco-Prussian War, on Thursdays from Nov. 12 through Dec. 10 in the Career Programs Building on HCC's main campus.
Taught by local historian Jeff Driscoll, the course will closely examine the seven-month conflict in which two French armies surrendered, a third French army sought asylum in Switzerland and a united Germany was declared in the French palace of Versailles. Cost is $65. For more information or to register, call 301-790-2800, ext. 236.
