Who's Hot

* North Hagerstown (10-4, 5-1 MVAL Antietam) -- The Hubs had won eight straight by a 17-2 margin to get within one win of wrapping up the league title. That win will have to come at Catoctin on Saturday after Smithsburg shocked North 3-2 on Thursday.

* Williamsport (9-4-2, 6-1 MVAL Antietam) -- The Wildcats wrapped up at least second place in the league with Wednesday's 4-0 shutout of the Leopards, and have won five straight by a 12-3 margin since a 1-0 loss to the Hubs on Oct. 1. If North loses at Catoctin on Saturday, Williamsport will win the league title.

* Grace Academy (19-1) -- The Knights won all 14 of their Mason Dixon Christian Conference regular-season games and are huge favorites to take the tournament title Saturday. Since their only loss, 1-0 to South Hagerstown on Sept. 12, they've won 13 straight.

* Jefferson (12-6) -- The Cougars were 5-5 before a six-game winning streak that finally ended with a 3-1 loss to Wheeling Park on Saturday. Jefferson followed that up with a 5-2 victory over Hampshire in the first round of the West Virginia Class AAA Region II Section 2 tournament.

Draw it up

Who's Hot

* Smithsburg (13-0, 6-0 MVAL Antietam) -- The Leopards, who have wrapped up the league title, have only lost three games all season, and none since a 3-2 thriller against Francis Scott Key way back on Sept. 22. Is it too early to get the hype machine rolling for a likely Class 1A West regional final against unbeaten Fort Hill?

* Clear Spring (9-3, 5-1 MVAL Antietam) -- The Blazers would like to have something to say about that potential 1A West clash. Clear Spring has won seven of its last nine matches.

* Broadfording (19-0) -- The Lions rolled to the Mason Dixon Christian Conference regular-season title, losing just two games in conference. They'll try to win a third straight MDCC Tournament title when the semifinals and championship are played at Cumberland Valley Christian on Saturday.

* Greencastle-Antrim (16-0) -- The Blue Devils have won 48 of their last 51 games, and all 39 of its non-tournament games, since losing the McConnellsburg Tournament final 2-1 to Broadfording on Sept. 12.
