    WILLIAMSPORT -- Cody Gardenhour, Bryan Whitmore, Jordan Payne and Mark Oliver each scored a goal for Williamsport as the Wildcats blanked Smithsburg 4-0 Wednesday in an MVAL Antietam contest.

    Joey Hardin, Daniel Doub, Jonathan Adams and Bradley Miller each had an assist for the Wildcats (9-4-2, 6-1).

    Cody Davis had 12 saves for the Leopards (1-12, 1-5).

    Goretti 4, Bishop Walsh 2

    CUMBERLAND, Md. -- Jeff Zielinski and Vince Turano each had two goals and an assist as St. Maria Goretti beat Bishop Walsh.

    Thomas Blake and Aaron Wilkinson each had an assist and John Winalski had four saves for the Gaels (5-10-2).

    Matt Kelly had two goals for Bishop Walsh, which was outshot by Goretti, 22-10.

    Laura Rahauser scored for Mercersburg Academy (5-8-1) and Lauree Lorensen scored on an assist from Theresa Barton for St. Maria Goretti.


Colleen Costello had 18 saves for the Gaels (3-10-2).


McDonogh 3, Mercersburg 0

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Abby Schwing had nine assists for Mercersburg Academy in the 25-22, 25-12, 25-22 loss to McDonogh School.

Sarah Kolanowski had eight service points, Brookke Mahaffey had five digs, four kills and four service points and Kendra Cubit had four digs for the Blue Storm.


Beckel earns all-MAC honors

GAITHERSBURG, Md. -- Saint James sophomore Alex Beckel gained all-Mid-Atlantic Conference honors with a fourth-place finish at Montgomery Village Golf Club.

Beckel carded an 81 for his first postseason award. He and Andrew Moynihan participated as individuals for the Saints, who were unable to compete as a team due to illness. Moynihan shot an 89 for 11th place.

St. Andrew's won the team title with 333 strokes and Tim Gregg of St. Andrew's was the medallist with a 2-under-par 69.


Munson wins ICC title

BELLWOOD, Pa. -- Southern Fulton's J.C. Munson was the boys champion at the ICC meet in 17:55, leading the Indians to the team title in the field of five schools.

Southern Fulton had three other runners in the top 10. Zane Baker was fourth (19:22), Brian Stanley was seventh (20:18) and Tim Rohm was ninth (20:26).

Jenna Hollenshead was fourth (21:28) and Lacey Beatty was seventh (22:16) in the girls race for the Indians, who had an incomplete team.

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Cara Jordan had two goals and an assist as Hood ended a four-game slide with a win over Lancaster Bible College.

Casey Miller had two goals, Amanda Hutzell, Becky Leathers and Jen Civick each had a goal and Kirsten Cacciola and Rachelle Buhrman combined for the shutout in goal for the Blazers (8-6-1).

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Edgar Lopez Zuniga and David Leonard combined for seven saves for Shepherd (5-10) in the loss to No. 2 Millersville (14-1-0).


Rams 10th at WVIAC tourney

ROANOKE, W.Va. -- Shepherd University shot a three-round total of 995 to finish 10th out of 13 teams at the WVIAC championship. Ohio Valley fired a 926 to win the team title, while Concord's Ryan Terdik earned the individual championship with a 54-hole total of 7-over-par 223.

Jeremy Thompson led the Rams with a 234 to tie for ninth place. Aaron Stenta fired a 238 (T-11th), Cameron Beckner shot a 248 (T-32nd), Chris Gilkey carded a 282 (T-58th), and Matt Robertson had a 285 (T-61st).

Williamsport graduate Andrew Duff shot a 242 for 22nd place for Fairmont State.
