Seasonal flu vaccination clinic set

October 22, 2009

The Washington County Health Department will hold an adult seasonal flu vaccination clinic Nov. 3 at North Hagerstown High School at 1200 Pennsylvania Ave.

The clinic will begin at 9 a.m. and last until supplies are exhausted, according to a press release from the health department.

The clinic is for anyone 18 years old and older. A donation of $20 is requested. Medicare will be accepted, but no other insurances will be billed, according to the release.

A vaccination for season flu does not provide protection from the H1N1 flu, according to the health department. Vaccine for protection against the H1N1 flu is being made available as it is received, and public clinics will be announced when there is a sufficient quantity of vaccine on hand, according to the release.

Updates for clinics will be available on the health department's flu hot line at 240-313-3456 and at www.washhealth.org.
