The Boonsboro Historical Society will hold an open hearth cooking demonstration featuring squash and pumpkin recipes Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Bowman (log) House, 323 N. Main St.
There will also be pottery-making demonstrations, candle making and house tours, and the recently acquired Bowman Pottery will be on display.
The newly restored Trolley Museum, just a block or so away, will be open during these hours. There is no charge for either museum, but contributions are appreciated.
The Bowman House will also be open for trick-or-treaters Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. Candy will be given out and pumpkins provided for children to paint.
