Jefferson County Boy Scout group to hold recognition dinner

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - The Mannahoac District of the Boy Scouts of America will hold its annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. in the Epic Buffet Dining Room at Charles Town Races & Slots.

If you are a Scouting alumni or just have an interest in the Scouting program, come join the Mannahoac District Scouting family as it recognizes the many adult leaders who work with Scouting both on the unit level and district level. Awards to be presented include:

o District Award of Merit, the highest honor a district can present.

o Cub Scouter of the Year

o Boy Scouter of the Year

o Venture Leader of the Year

o Silver Sparkplug

o Golden Sparkplug - for unit volunteers; must be nominated by the unit.
