Williamsport to close off streets for homecoming parade

WILLIAMSPORT -- Several roads in Williamsport will be closed to vehicles Saturday during the annual Williamsport High School homecoming parade.

Marching units will gather at Springfield Middle School from 10:30 to 11 a.m.

The parade will leave the school and proceed down East Sunset Avenue and cross Artizan Street. The route turns right on Md. 68 (Conococheague Street), then right on U.S. 11 (Potomac Street) and right again on Clifton Drive. The parade will end at about noon at Williamsport High School.

The police and fire department will be assisting with traffic control on the affected roads.
