Knights rip Hubs royally

MIDDLETOWN, Md. -- Sam Glushakow threw four touchdown passes as Middletown blanked visiting North Hagerstown 42-0 on Thursday night.

Glushakow connected three times with Pat Ryan for scores in the first half as the Knights (4-3) built a 21-0 halftime lead.

Glushakow threw a 26-yard TD pass to Clayton Wenner early in the third quarter as Middletown made it a 28-0 game.

The Knights got their final two scores on touchdown runs by Sam Michels and Hunter Lumley.

Michels scored on a 27-yard run with 7:00 left in the third quarter, and Lumley scored on a 77-yard run with 10:20 left in the game.


Michels and Koby Cavanaugh each finished with 100 yards rushing, while Lumley ran for 99. Glushakow was 6-for-10 passing for 94 yards.

Middletown outgained North 399 to 179 in total offense.

Anthony Winter ran for a team-high 65 yards on 13 carries for the Hubs (2-4), while Greg Pheabus ran for 31 yards on two carries. Lynn Lowman completed 5 of 14 passes for 81 yards in the loss.

Pheabus also led the North defense with seven solo tackles.

North hurt its chances with three turnovers -- two fumbles and an interception.
