Benefit concert to help defray Boonsboro man's medical bills

BRUNSWICK, Md. -- The Polka Dots, a teen band from Lovettsville, Va., will perform their blend of old time, early jazz, bluegrass, gypsy swing and the blues at a benefit concert from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Beans in the Belfry Meeting Place and Cafe, 122 W. Potomac St.

Proceeds from the concert will benefit Damien Ray of Boonsboro, an Irish chef who emigrated to the United States to marry his American fiance and now faces medical bills after being struck by a car.
