MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- A 58-year-old Martinsburg man was arraigned Thursday on a drug charge after police forced their way into his South Queen Street residence in Martinsburg, according to court records.

Henry Grady Smith Jr., of 414 S. Queen St., was arraigned by Berkeley County Magistrate Joan V. Bragg on one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (heroin), according to court records.

Members of the Martinsburg Police Department Special Response Team (SRT) on Thursday executed a search warrant and found a pill bottle with five bags of heroin in it, according to a complaint by Cpl. S.F. Doyle.

Smith told police the heroin, found in the side of the chair he was sitting in, was for his personal use, according to Doyle's complaint.
