As a result of numerous cases of the flu, Saint James has extended its suspension of academic and athletic schedules until Oct. 26.

"We're taking a proactive position now so everyone can get to feeling better," athletic director Mike Brooks said Wednesday.

Saint James' football game against Flint Hill on Saturday has been rescheduled for Nov. 14 at 1 p.m. The contest scheduled on Oct. 22 at Maryland School for the Deaf has been canceled.

All other athletic events have been canceled with the exception of a varsity field hockey contest against Mercersburg Academy, scheduled for Oct. 21. It will now be played on Nov. 4.
