Man accused in club stabbing

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- A Martinsburg man accused of stabbing another man in the chest at least three times at a gentlemen's club in August was arraigned Wednesday in Berkeley County Magistrate Court on one count of unlawful wounding, according to court records.

Jeremy Edward Rinker, 24, of 29 Strawberry Lane, was arraigned by Magistrate Joan V. Bragg, records indicate.

The victim was treated at City Hospital in Martinsburg after the Aug. 26 stabbing, then taken to Winchester (Va.) Medical Center for a lung injury, according to court records.

Berkeley County Sheriff's Lt. Gary Harmison wrote in a complaint that Rinker told him the victim first struck Rinker in the face while he was drinking at Legz Club off Aero Street just outside of Martinsburg, according to court records.
