Kendall Montgomery Stoner, 45, of 307 Hollymead Terrace, Hagerstown, Md., passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, Oct. 11, 2009, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Feb. 25, 1964, he was the son of Elizabeth M. (Clark) Stoner Stone and Kenneth L. Stoner, both of Hagerstown.

He was employed for 20 years as an extruder operator then later as a yard jockey at Certain-Teed Products Corp. in Williamsport, Md.


Kendall was a 1982 graduate of North Hagerstown High School, where he played football all four years and was on the track team. He served in the U.S. Army.

For many years, he was an avid bowler in the Richard Pentz and the Tuesday Night Mixed Swinger League, having bowled numerous 300 tenpin games. He enjoyed attending the many sports events his children participated in and was their biggest fan. He was an avid baseball fan and played ball at an early age through Colt League in the West End. His favorite football teams were the Maryland Terps and Miami Dolphins.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Lisa Feigley Stoner of Hagerstown; two sons, Kendall M. Stoner Jr. of Baltimore, Md., and Aaron T. Stoner, at home; two daughters, Danielle N. Stoner and Alexis M. Stoner, both at home. He is also survived by his stepfather, James E. Stone; his grandmother, Dorothy G. Edwards; sister-in-law, Debra A. Grove and husband, Tim; sister-in-law, Rhonda D. Brechbill; a niece, McKenzie J. Brechbill; nephews, Christopher H. Grove and Cole P. Brechbill; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Clifford K. Edwards; and paternal grandparents, Leroy and Louise Stoner.

Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD 21742 with Pastor Brad Nigh officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
