The Technical Innovation Center at Hagerstown Community College will offer a three-night seminar titled "Patenting Made Easy: Protecting Your Ideas and Your Wealth," on Oct. 27, Nov. 3 and Nov. 10, in TIC room 208.
The seminar will be led by Michael Smith, of Intellectual Property Group of Steptoe and Johnson, Attorneys at Law, and will focus on a variety of topics related to the protecting and commercializing your intellectual property and ideas including patent law, trademark law, copyright law and e-commerce. Smith is a registered patent attorney and represents clients in matters pertaining to patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and unfair competition law.
He is co-leader of the firm's Intellectual Property Team.
