HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Frederick Allen Suffecool, 74, of Hagerstown, passed away, Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, at his home.

Born May 18, 1935, in Big Spring, Md., he was the son of the late, Samuel Richard and Pearl E. (Mowen) Suffecool.

He retired with 35 years of service from Pangborn Corp., where he worked in the foundry.

He is survived by his wife, Claudia Y. (McCarty) Suffecool; one son, Rodney Allen Suffecool and friend Treva of Hagerstown; two daughters, Robin Bain and husband, Denny of Mercersburg, Pa., and Kelli Long and husband, Rick of Hedgesville, W.Va.; four sisters, Mildred Burger of Hagerstown and Annabelle Kayser, Doris Sword and Patsy Martin, all of Clear Spring; five grandchildren, Angela Quinn and husband, Roger, Michelle Messner, Johnna Hoffman and husband, Chris, Amy Long and Adam Wampole; and five great-grandchildren, Gavin, Dashiel, Olivia, Eva and Julian.

In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Mason and Ruth Morgan; and two brothers, Kenneth Suffecool and Donald Suffecool.


Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Robert Robinson officiating.

Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
