Greencastle man faces DUI drug charge after I-81 crash

GREENCASTLE, Pa. -- A Greencastle man was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance (heroin) following a single-car crash Monday morning on Interstate 81, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

Joseph Dean Bailey, 23, was driving a 1998 Mercury Mystique southbound on I-81 near mile marker 4 in Antrim Township at about 3:35 a.m. when the car went off the highway into the median and flipped onto its roof, police said.

Bailey, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained moderate injuries, the release said.

Bailey was charged after police discovered he had used heroin before driving, the release said.
