Gallery receives $10,000

Contemporary School of the Arts & Gallery Inc. received a $10,000 donation recently, which was split between the City of Hagerstown and the Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau. From left, are Hagerstown Mayor Robert E. Bruchey II, gallery director Ron Lytle and CVB director Tom Riford. The Mayor and Council donated $5,000 and the CVB gave $5,000. The gallery, at 4 W. Franklin St. in Hagerstown, is a nonprofit, volunteer organization that offers an after-school art program for those in kindergarten through 12th grade. Its mission is to serve at-risk children and youth in Washington County through art programs designed to engage young people in meaningful and creative endeavors. Its goal is to serve 50 children a day.
