ekm Inspirations



Norine Dagliano, a professional resume writer, job search coach and owner of ekm Inspirations, recently gave a presentation at the National Resume Writers Association's annual conference in Annapolis.

Dagliano's topic was "Don't Fear the Federal Resume." The presentation provided conference attendees from around the country with an overview of the federal application process, including how to develop a federal resume and KSA package.

Giant Food Stores



CARLISLE, Pa. - Chuck Shank has been promoted to director of operations and merchandising for District 2 of Giant Food Stores LLC.

Shank, a Clear Spring resident, will be responsible for the overall operations, merchandising and customer satisfaction of the 11 stores in District 2, which covers southern Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia.

Shank has been with Giant Food Stores since 1969 and has held many positions within store operations, including lead frozen food associate, grocery manager, assistant store manager, store manager, general merchandise and health and beauty care specialist, and grocery specialist. He most recently served as grocery market manager.

Shank received Giant's Nick Riso Outstanding Achievement Award in 2002 for his outstanding record of contribution and his cooperative spirit.

Chambersburg Hospital



CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Tim Murray, manager of plant operations at Chambersburg Hospital, recently received his Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) credential from the American Hospital Association.

To earn the CHFM, an individual must satisfy eligibility requirements that incorporate a blend of work experience and education, agree to adhere to professional standards of conduct and pass the CHFM examination. The CHFM examination tests knowledge required of a health care facility manager in the areas of compliance, planning, design and construction, maintenance and operations, finance and administration.

CNB Bank



BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Patricia C. Muldoon, executive vice president and chief operations officer at CNB Bank, received a diploma Aug. 21 at commencement during the 65th annual session of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.

Muldoon placed in the top 5 percent of the graduating class. The ranking was achieved through superior performance on intersession projects covering a range of banking subjects and on comprehensive examinations given at each of the three resident sessions.

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Diane Cordell has joined Orrstown Financial Advisors as a trust officer in the bank's office in Greencastle, Pa.

Cordell will specialize in account administration and estate settlement.

Cordell is a graduate of Waynesboro (Pa.) Area Senior High School and has nearly 25 years of experience in the trust and financial industries. She also is a graduate of the Central Atlantic School of Trust at Bucknell University and has completed a variety of American Institute of Bankers courses and paralegal courses at Penn State Mont Alto.

HANCOCK - Dr. Matthew Hahn and Dr. Marilyn Nelson of Hahn and Nelson Family Medicine recently joined the medical staff at Washington County Hospital.

Hahn and Nelson Family Medicine is a patient-focused practice caring for all ages. The average appointment time is 30 minutes to ensure doctors can get acquainted with their patents on a more personal level.

Hahn and Nelson are board-certified in family medicine.

Hahn received his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and completed his residency at York (Pa.) Hospital.

Nelson, who previously practiced medicine in Vermont, graduated from St. Lawrence University and completed her residency at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y.

MCTC



Markwood MacKenzie, a correctional officer II, has been named Employee of the Month for October at the Maryland Correctional Training Center.

MacKenzie works daily with the Case Management Department regarding court trips, transfers and releases. He remains calm in a sometimes chaotic atmosphere and provides clear answers and direction when required.

MacKenzie has been employed by the Maryland Correctional Training Center since April 1984.

Fuel Fund of Maryland



David Jordan has joined the board of directors of the Fuel Fund of Maryland.

Jordan is executive director of the Washington County Community Action Council (CAC). Before joining the CAC, he was assistant executive director of the Community Assistance Network.

Dennis L. Koons has joined Raymond James Financial Services in Hagerstown as an investment executive.

Koons is a member and past president of the Waynesboro (Pa.) Rotary Club, board member and past president of the Renfrew Institute, and board member of the Waynesboro YMCA.
