Trojans rally to upset Indians

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- ConRoy Smith intercepted Ben Dupree's 21-yard pass in the end zone as time expired, preserving Chambersburg's 36-32 comeback victory over previously unbeaten Susquehanna Township on Friday night.

Dupree had two touchdown passes and two TD runs as the Indians (5-1) built a 29-7 halftime lead.

Smith, who had a 71-yard TD run in the first quarter, scored on a 1-yard run early in the third as the Trojans (4-2) cut the deficit to 29-14.

Brian Reese's 1-yard TD run early in the fourth made it a 29-21 game. After Derek Burkhard scored on a 5-yard run with 8:32 left, Reese passed to Tyler Fore for the two-point conversion to tie the game at 29.

Susquehanna Township regained the lead, 32-29, on Christian Hilliard's 26-yard field goal with 4:47 left.

With 1:25 left, Burkhard scored the game-winning TD on a 7-yard run.

Smith ran for 152 yards on 20 carries, Burkhard ran for 121 yards on 17 carries and Colby Perry went 4-for-4 on PAT kicks for the Trojans.

Greencastle 48, Red Land 14

GREENCASTLE, Pa. -- Brett Meyers completed 11 of 16 passes for 203 yards and two touchdowns as Greencastle-Antrim routed Red Land to remain undefeated.

Devin Schaeffer ran for a game-high 135 yards on 16 carries, including a 30-yard score, for the Blue Devils (6-0). Tyler Szaflarski ran for 63 yards and two TDs, Jacob Statler ran for a TD, Cameron Christman and Brandan Trefelner each had a TD reception and Christian Hoover kicked a 43-yard field goal in the victory.

Greencastle outgained Red Land (2-4) 445-207 in total yards.

HANCOCK -- Nate Earp's 40-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter proved to be the game-winner for Randolph-Macon Academy in a victory over Hancock (3-3).

Nick Lanehart scored both of Hancock's touchdowns, including one on a 35-yard pass from quarterback Garrett Wiles.

Earp finished with 140 yards on 12 carries, while Jason Manley had a 72-yard TD catch for the Yellow Jackets (2-3), who racked up 181 of their 274 yards of total offense on their three scoring plays.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- Kam Puller passed for three touchdowns and also ran for 139 yards and a TD for Martinsburg, which led 48-0 at one point in the second quarter and 54-10 at the half in a rout of visiting Washington.

Brandon Bishop made the best of his four carries, rushing for 122 yards and two scores, while David Arndt caught both of his TD passes from Alex Schonhans for the Bulldogs (6-1). David Hammond, Derek Walker and Kendal Redman each caught a TD pass, while David Gladden ran off a 58-yard touchdown for Martinsburg, which had 647 yards of total offense.
