Patricia Ann Faulders, also known as "Granny Pat", went to her Lord on Sept. 28, 2009, with her family at her side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born April 19, 1937, to John and Margaret Niswander in Hagerstown, Md.

She lived in Hagerstown for many years and attended school there. She met her childhood sweetheart and best friend, Charles R. Faulders there, and they were married on June 6, 1953. They were happily married for over 56 years and traveled the United States while he was in the Air Force, settling in Auburn, Wash.

The greatest joys in Granny's life were her family, her friends, camping, fishing, crafts, bingo, meeting people and the computer. There was never a person that she met that their lives were not changed for the better for knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret Niswander; and sisters, Little Peggy Niswander and Dorothy Hose. She is survived by her loving husband, Charles; and brothers, Marvin (and Kathie) Niswander, Bill (and Betsy) Niswander and Johnnie (and Gloria) Niswander. She is also survived by children Peggy (and Bob) Heidenfeldt, Patti Hardy, Charles Jr. (and Karen) Faulders and Dottie McDole; six grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Price Helton Funeral Home in Auburn, Wash., on Oct. 7. A celebration of her life is planned for Oct. 25 in Bonney Lake, Wash.

The family requests that donations be made to local hospices.
