St. John's Episcopal Church, the Rev. Stephanie Yancy will speak Sunday at the 8 and 10:15 a.m. communion services. The parish choir will provide music at the later service. Sunday school classes for all ages begin at 9 a.m. including an adult forum on How to Be Advocates for Change in Health Care Systems.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church, the Rev. Gordon Narvesen will preside at the 8:15 and 10:30 a.m. communion services Sunday. Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m.

Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown, Pastor Eric Norgard is preacher and presider Sunday at the 8:30 a.m. praise worship in the fellowship hall and the 10:55 a.m. evangelical worship in the sanctuary. Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. Lay assisting minister is Georgia Newman.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, the Rev. Mark Mooney's topic at the 9:30 a.m. Sunday world communion service is What God Has Joined Together. E-Man the puppet will highlight the service. A new members class follows. At 2 p.m., there will be a blessing of the animals in the Main Street church parking lot.


First Christian Church, the Rev. William Ryan will give the message, Doorkeepers, at the 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. services Sunday. Special music by the chancel choir. Marcia Goodrich and Toby Smith will sing a vocal duet. Sunday school for all ages at 11:15 a.m.

First Baptist Church, 15 High St., Hagerstown, Pastor Thom Smith will speak at the 11 a.m. service Sunday on the topic, Sight and Sound. Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. There is a 6 p.m. service.

Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren, 20402 Beaver Creek Road, Pastor Rachel Black will speak at the 10 a.m. World Communion Day service Sunday. Jean Minnick is the worship leader. Sunday school for all ages begins at 9 a.m. A traditional love feast and communion is at 7 p.m.

Valley Assembly of God Christian Life Center, 17544 York Road, Hagerstown, Sunday, the topic at the 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. services is House Cleaning. Bible Study for all ages at 9 a.m. Sunday evening's 6 p.m. Royal Rangers and Girls Ministries on the topic, By Faith Noah. Wednesday's youth service is at 7 p.m. on Living Stones.

Calvary United Methodist Church, Martinsburg, W.Va., Pastor Al Clipp will speak on The Family Table at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. services Sunday. Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.

Grace Brethren Church, 250 Philadelphia Ave., Waynesboro, Pa., Pastor Larry Weber will speak on Show Me The Way at 10:40 a.m. Sunday. Christian Education for all ages 9:30 a.m. Family fellowship at 6 p.m. with topic of A Prophet is Born. Wednesday is the 6:06 p.m. gathering, a meal, prayer and Bible study. Teen Club at 7 p.m.

A Cry in the Wilderness Ministries, 13194 Monterey Lane, meeting in Steve's Studio/Gallery at Tracey's Corner in Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., Sunday morning worship at 10:30 a.m. will feature communion and special recognition marking the first anniversary of the congregation. After a noon meal, there will be a 2 p.m. service with guest speaker Don Carpenter and special music.

Zion United Church of Christ, the 11 a.m. Sunday service features a sermon by the Rev. Gerry Hanberry on Whose Job Is It To Save The Earth? Sunday school is at 9:45 a.m.

Welty Church of the Brethren, Greensburg, the Rev. Mike Manthos will lead the service Sunday at 10:45 a.m. on the topic, Daniel in the Lion's Den. Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.

Christ Reformed United Church of Christ, Sharpsburg, Pastor Delancy Catlett's topic is Enfolding Love at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Mount Vernon Reformed UCC, Keedysville, Pastor Delancy Catlett's topic is Enfolding Love at 10:45 a.m. Sunday.

St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Beaver Creek Church Road, has a service at 8:45 a.m. Sunday with Pastor David Kaplan speaking.

St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Keedysville, offers Sunday school for youth and adults at 9:30 a.m. and a communion service at 10:45 a.m. with Pastor David Kaplan speaking.

Church of the Holy Trinity UCC, Halfway, the Rev. Tim Leighton will speak at 10:45 a.m. Sunday on It Takes A Community. There will be communion and dedication of new stained glass. Adult Bible study is at 9:30 a.m. Children's Sunday school is at 10:45 a.m.

Tri-State Fellowship, at the classic and bridge services Sunday, the message is The Flip Side of Work by Senior Pastor Randy Buchman. Pastor Paul Ostoich will preach in the cafe service. Full-morning children's and student programs are offered for infants through 12th grade, along with many choices for adults during both sessions. Youth groups for high school and middle school at 6 p.m.
