WILLOW HILL, Pa. - Daniel Alan "Dan" Harshman, 61, of Willow Hill, Pa., formerly of Hagerstown, passed away Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, Philadelphia.

Born Dec. 5, 1947, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late E. Gardner and Phyllis E. (Wilhelm) Harshman.

Mr. Harshman was employed as a operation supervisor with Yellow Freight, Hagerstown.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran and Protestant by faith.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Hagerstown, and the VFW, Greencastle.

He is survived by his wife, Mona Lee "Monie" (Kline) Harshman; two sons, Glenn Harshman of Houston, Texas, and Marcus Harshman of Hagerstown; two stepsons, Scott Good of Dover, Pa., and Matthew Good of Doylestown, Pa.; two sisters, P. Jean Hanna of Hagerstown and Margaret "Peg" Adams of Bedington, W.Va.; one brother, E. Gardner Harshman Jr.; and two grandchildren, Brianna Lynn Harshman and Hunter Daniel Harshman.


In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Russell Harshman.

A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown, with the Rev. Robert Regenold officiating.
