Pamela Jean (Proksa) Patt, 66

HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. -- Pamela Jean (Proksa) Patt, 66, Hollidaysburg, died Friday afternoon at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus, Altoona, Pa.

She was born in Rosedale, Allegheny County, Pa., the daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanor (Clegg) Proksa.

She married P. Jules Patt in November 1964 in Altoona.

Pamela is survived by her husband; a son, Joshua R. of Hollidaysburg; two daughters, Maggie Patt of State College, Pa., and Samantha Patt Ocelus of Hollidaysburg; three grandchildren, Eleanor "Ellie" Ocelus, Grace Patt Biddle and Jane Patt Biddle; and a brother, Joseph Preston of Ridgefield, Conn.

She was raised in Hagerstown, Md., and was a 1961 graduate of North Hagerstown High School.

Pamela was a 1965 graduate of Chatham College, Pittsburgh.

She was president of Keystone Hospitality Group Inc., and vice president of The Patt Organization of Hollidaysburg, most notable for the development and operation of The Atherton Hotel in State College, Lake Raystown Resort, Lodge and Conference Center, Entriken, Pa., as well as numerous commercial real estate developments throughout the mid-Atlantic region.

Over the years, Pamela was involved in numerous volunteer and charitable organizations. She was a member of Temple Beth Israel, Altoona, and the Temple Sisterhood. She was twice past president of Temple Beth Israel board of directors. She served on the National Board of Temple Sisterhoods, and was a lifetime member of Hadassah. She was a member and helped in the establishment of the Hollidaysburg Historical Society. Pamela was a past member of the board of directors for the Hollidaysburg Free Public Library, and a past member of Hollidaysburg Garden Club and Hollidaysburg Women's Club.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at Temple Beth Israel in Altoona, followed by interment at Mount Sinai Cemetery. Rabbi David Ostrich and Rabbi Nicole Luna officiated.
