Palmyra Farms, Creek win titles at dairy show

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Palmyra Tri-Star R Ginger-ET, exhibited by Mary Creek of Palmyra Farms near Hagerstown, won as intermediate champion in the Ayrshire competition recently at the All-American Dairy Show in Harrisburg.

Palmyra Farms also won first place for:

o Senior 2-Year-Old -- Palmyra Tri-Star R Ginger-ET

o Junior 3-Year-Old -- Palmyra Journalist LH Rosy-ET

o Best Three Females and

o Exhibitor's Herd

Val D'Estrie Special K Lolly, owned and exhibited by Heather Morrell of Cochranton, Pa., was awarded Senior and Grand Champion Ayrshire for the second year in row.

Reserve Senior and Reserve Grand Champion, Tri-Line Flurish Lauren, was exhibited by Emily Thornburg of Carlisle, Pa.

Judge Norman Nabholz of West Union, Iowa, said all the champions were remarkable.

"I'll put these champions up anywhere at any level," he said.


The All-American Dairy Show is the world's largest dairy show. This year's competitions drew participants from 28 states.
