Class of 1969

In celebration of their 40th class reunion, the BHS class of 1969 will host a tailgate party Friday at 6 p.m. in the first parking lot as you enter the school campus.

If you are unable to attend Saturday's reunion, try to stop by Friday to say "hello" and catch up.

Chicken barbecue

Stop by the parking lot next to what is now Columbia Bank in Boonsboro on Saturday morning for the Lions Club's chicken barbecue. Chicken will be available from 9:30 a.m. until sold out.

Yard sale

Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Rohrersville will hold a yard and bake sale Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be held in Friendship Hall at the intersection of Md. 67 and Locust Grove Road.

Furniture, clothing, children's toys and other items will be offered at the free yard sale (donations will be accepted).

Country ham sandwiches, homemade soups and baked goods will be on sale. Proceeds from the event will go to the Mount Zion Needy Family Fund.

Corn maze

Boonsboro WyldLife will host the Hagerstown corn maze Sunday. The 8-acre maze is set up at Celebration Farm at 17638 Garden View Road, Hagerstown (take Interstate 81 at exit 7 and follow the signs).

WyldLife is a branch of Young Life International specifically for middle- schoolers.

Tickets cost $5 for adults and teens, and $3 for those ages 5 to 12. Those 4 and younger will be admitted free. Strollers are welcome, but no pets will be allowed. There will be a $1 discount for groups of 25 or more.

The last ticket will be sold 60 minutes prior to closing. The organizers will donate $2 of every adult ticket and $1 of every child ticket that day to WyldLife's summer camp scholarship fund. Guests should bring a flashlight for the moonlight maze.

The meal will be served at 5 p.m. and the cow arrives at 6 p.m.

Tickets are available from any Boosters Club member and at all home Warrior athletic events. You need not be present to win.
