Cardiac updates seminar set

Hagerstown Community College's Center for Continuing Education is offering a seminar on "Cardiac Updates," from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at The Merle S. Elliott Continuing Education and Conference Center.

Registration begins at 7:45 a.m., followed by refreshments. Professional continuing education credits are available for sonographers, radiographers, nurses and nurse practitioners.

Women sought for ultrasounds

CHAMBERSBURG,Pa. - Pregnancy Ministries Inc. is looking for pregnant women, between seven and 24 weeks pregnant, to volunteer as models for ultrasound training. The scans are free, with ultrasound picture of the baby provided.

The ultrasounds are done by registered nurses who need to become qualified by doing 50 to 70 ultrasounds under supervision. Participation is confidential. Ultrasounds will not determine the sex of the baby.

Registration open for Run for Fun

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Chambersburg Recreation Department is accepting registrations for its fall "Run for Fun" and "Run for Life" programs. Programs begin Thursday, Oct. 8, and run for six weeks.

The "Run for Fun" program is for preteens and teens ages 9 to 14, and the "Run for Life" program is for teens and adults ages 15 and older. Registration is open to runners of all ages and skill levels.
