Hubs have their way with North East

NORTH EAST, Md. -- Steve Coccodrilli threw two first-half touchdown passes and Josh Hall returned the second-half kickoff for a score as North Hagerstown shut out North East 29-0 on Friday night.

The Hubs (2-2) produced 302 yards of offense -- 231 coming on the ground -- while holding North East (0-4) to minus-27 yards overall and minus-51 on the ground.

Coccodrilli finished 4-for-7 for 67 yards and was picked off twice. He hit Anthony Winter with a 12-yard scoring strike in the first quarter and Desmond Meade with an 11-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter as the Hubs took a 14-0 halftime lead.

North East attempted an onside kick to start the second half, but Hall scooped it up and raced 50 yards for a touchdown and a 20-0 lead.


The Hubs increased their lead to 22-0 when Dylan Dopson came up with a sack in the end zone for a safety. Finally, A.J. Staley ran 5 yards for a score to cap a 15-point third quarter.

Staley led North's rushing attack with 142 yards on 14 carries.
