Two shows open

"Apple Union" features a group of young artists from Western Maryland. Exhibit continues through Saturday, Sept. 26. Washington County Arts Council Gallery, 14 W. Washington St., Hagerstown. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Call 301-791-3132.

Doll exhibit

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Display includes dolls donated to the Waynesboro Historical Society as well as some on loan from area collectors. Exhibit continues through Saturday, Oct. 3. Oller House, 138 W. Man St. Hours are 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fridays. Call 717-762-1747.

Williamsport: The Town that was Nearly Capital of the United States

WILLIAMSPORT - The exhibit tells the story of how President George Washington considered Williamsport as a possible location for the Federal capital. Open Wednesday through Saturday.
