Rishell leads unbeaten Leopards past FSK

UNION BRIDGE, Md. -- Sara Rishell had 32 kills, 18 digs, 11 blocks and 10 service points as unbeaten Smithsburg rallied for a 25-17, 15-25, 20-25, 25-20, 15-8 victory over Francis Scott Key on Tuesday.

Taylor Belella had 43 assists, 16 digs and 11 service points for the Leopards (5-0), while Katie Sprecher had 20 digs and six kills, Colleen Black had seven kills and seven blocks and Paige Decker had 17 service points and 12 digs.

JV: Smithsburg, 2-0.

North 3, Middletown 0

Akilah McCall had 12 kills as North Hagerstown turned back Middletown, 25-20, 26-24, 25-17.

Megan Plume had 28 assists and Anna Wade had seven kills for the Hubs (5-0).

JV: North, 2-1.

Urbana 3, Williamsport 1

IJAMSVILLE, Md. -- Sam Kelly had 12 kills for Williamsport in a 25-13, 19-25, 25-21, 25-12 loss to Urbana.

Trisha Leigh had 11 service points, six kills and 18 digs for the Wildcats (2-2), while Allison Gulnac had five blocks and Paige Kitchen had 12 assists.

Clear Spring 3, Hancock 0

CLEAR SPRING -- Lily Pinkham had 10 kills as Clear Spring swept Hancock, 25-9, 25-12, 25-9.

Also for Clear Spring (3-1), Damara McDonough had six aces, Megan Micco had 22 assists and 12 service points and Sarah Elwood had seven digs, two kills and five aces.

For Hancock (1-3), Katie Cropp had eight digs, Maureen Leavy had three blocks and Hannah Creek had five service points.

JV: Clear Spring, 2-0.

Boonsboro 3, Tuscarora 0

BOONSBORO -- Rebecca Demers had 22 assists and seven digs as Boonsboro downed Tuscarora, 25-11, 25-15, 25-20.

Alison Griffith had 10 kills and four aces, Jessica Mazelon had six kills, Megan Long had five kills and Macy Fuscsick had seven digs for Boonsboro (2-3).

JV: Boonsboro, 2-0.

Broadfording 3, Shalom 1

Hannah Young had 15 kills, 17 digs and four aces as Broadfording Christian Academy improved to 11-0 (9-0 in the MDCC) with a 23-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-12 victory over Shalom Christian.

Becca Adams had 23 assists and five aces, while Danielle DuBois had eight aces and 20 digs for Broadfording.

For Shalom, Juliana Mowen had 18 kills, Tasha Lentz had two blocks, 19 digs and 11 service points and Natash Gibble had 24 assists, 27 digs, nine service points and four kills.

South 3, North Carroll 0

HAMPSTEAD, Md. -- Rebecca Pearl had 15 kills and four blocks as South Hagerstown defeated North Carroll, 25-22, 25-21, 25-23.

Megan Vance had 28 assists for South (3-2), while Kara Henson had 10 service points and five digs and Emma Stahl had seven service points and four kills.

MSD 3, Goretti 0

FREDERICK, Md. -- Maryland School for the Deaf swept visiting St. Maria Goretti (2-6), 25-11, 25-10, 25-13.

Greencastle 3, West Perry 0

ELLIOTTSBURG, Pa. -- Kelsey Gearhart, Sammi Rudy and Rachel Kline each had four kills and Erin Garns had 14 assists as Greencastle-Antrim beat West Perry, 25-16, 25-16, 25-15.

Grace 3, CVCS 1

Lauren Serafini had 15 service points, including seven aces, along with six kills and 12 assists to lead Grace Academy to a 25-16, 25-15, 16-25, 25-11 Mason Dixon Christian Conference victory over Cumberland Valley Christian School.

Jamie Shurnitski had eight kills and 14 assists for the Knights (5-3, 5-3).

Gettysburg 3, Waynesboro 0

WAYNESBORO, Pa. -- Gettysburg rolled to a 25-21, 25-9, 25-10 victory over Waynesboro (2-3).

Heritage 3, Faith 0

Rebekah Clarke had nine service points, including five aces, and five kills to lead Heritage Academy to a 25-13, 25-7, 25-10 MDCC victory over Faith Christian.

Brianna Dorsey added seven service points, including six aces, and three digs for the Eagles (8-1, 7-1), while Callie Butts had six service points, four aces and 19 assists. Rachel Clarke had five service points, four aces and four kills and Jessica Gaylor had five kills.

Musselman 3, James Wood 0

INWOOD, W.Va. -- Taylor Allen had 13 kills and Kortney Jenkins added 11 kills to lead the Applemen to a 25-18, 25-20, 27-25 sweep of James Wood.

Taylor Oates had 27 assists and nine digs, Emily Funkhouser had 10 digs, three aces and two blocks, and Jessica Felicio added four aces for Musselman (6-0).

Tussey Mountain 3, Southern Fulton 1

SAXTON, Pa. -- Jenna Ritz had 18 service points and 10 assists for Southern Fulton in the 26-24, 13-25, 25-22, 25-19 loss.

Steph Iker had four kills and Alexis Knisely had nine digs for the Indians (0-4).

GREENCASTLE, Pa. -- Kevin Piper had two goals and Jesse Herman had one as Greencastle-Antrim built a 3-0 halftime lead and held on to beat Milton Hershey.

Broadfording 6, Shalom 1

Stephen Torres had three goals and an assist to lead Broadfording Christian Academy to an MDCC win over Shalom Christian.

Andy Torres and Gabe Hirsch each had a goal and an assist for the Lions (10-2), while Bryan Stocker added a goal and Andrew Wyand had an assist.

Josiah Gingrich scored an unassisted goal for Shalom (1-8-1).
