A Temple Hills, Md., man has been charged in the Sunday shooting of another man in a North Prospect Street apartment, according to Washington County District Court records.

Anthony Renard Blackwell Jr., 23, is charged with robbery, armed robbery and first- and second-degree assault, according to court records. He was being held Wednesday afternoon at the Washington County Detention Center, a jail spokesman said.

Hagerstown Police officers responded at 12:43 a.m. Sunday to a call for a shooting at an apartment at 660 N. Prospect St., court records state.

Officers found the victim, Christopher S. Lee, lying on a kitchen floor with a gunshot wound to his right leg, Hagerstown Police Detective C. Coy wrote in a criminal complaint.

One of the officers asked Lee what happened and he alleged to police that a man he knows by the street name "Ant" came in a back door and shot him, Coy wrote.

Lee said the man took about $150 in cash from his pants pocket and tried to take his cell phone, according to Coy.

Blackwell was one of two men charged Sept. 12 after a Hagerstown Police officer noticed a handgun on the floor of a car on Park Place, according to court records.

Blackwell and another man were seen getting out of the car earlier and were found near South Potomac and Baltimore streets, court records state.

Blackwell was charged with handgun in a vehicle, possession of marijuana and other offenses in that incident, according to court records.
