HANCOCK - William Abner "Bill" McCusker, 32, of Western Pike, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at his home.

Born March 11, 1977, in McConnellsburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Robert Clyde and Susan Lee Remsburg McCusker.

He attended Hancock schools.

He was a plumber and of Protestant faith.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by three daughters, Amber McCusker and Brittany McCusker, both of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and Brooklyn McCusker of Hancock, Md.; one brother, Scott R. McCusker of Hancock; one half sister, Becky Runyon of Warfordsburg, Pa.; grandparents, Robert C. and Aura B. Ward of Hancock; and maternal grandmother, Leone Remsburg of Warfordsburg, Pa.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Vincent J. McCusker, and maternal grandfather, John Remsburg.

A service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Mount Olivet Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Philip Unger will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.


The family will receive friends at Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. For the convenience of family and friends, the funeral home will be open from 2 to 8 p.m. today.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Hancock Volunteer Fire Co., 2 Fulton St., Hancock, MD 21750 or to the Hancock Rescue Squad, 57 E. Main St., Hancock, MD 21750.
