WILLIAMSPORT - Mildred Pauline Bostetter, 93, of 154 N. Artizan St., Williamsport, Md., and formerly of Hagerstown, passed away Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.

Born Saturday, Sept. 2, 1916, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late William S. Coss and the late Emma K. Justice Coss.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl L. Bostetter, in 1989.

She was a member of St. Peter's "Beards" Lutheran Church and the Leitersburg Homemakers Club.

Mildred was an avid traveler, and especially enjoyed flowers and gardening.

She is survived by two daughters, Joan E. Keener of Maugansville, Md., and Jane I. Alley of Sharpsburg, Md.; three grandchildren, Julie Stewart, Christine McAfee and Jodie Burger; and four great-grandchildren, Jaxon Stewart, Brooke McAfee, Olivia Jones and Garrett Burger.

She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Austin Stewart, and was the last surviving member of her 13 brothers and sisters.

Services will be held Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's (Beards) Lutheran Church, 21348 Old Forge Road, Hagerstown, with the Rev. Dr. David C. Baker officiating.

Family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24.

Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter's (Beards) Lutheran Church, 21348 Old Forge Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD.
