    Show Kids

    The Washington County Show Kids and Show Co. will hold registration Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at 7148 Wheeler Road in Boonsboro. The group offers baton lessons, twirling teams, dance-twirl teams, etc., for those 3 and older. For more information, call Brenda Cauffman at 301-733-1833.

    Chicken barbecue

    The Boonsboro Lions will hold a chicken barbecue Saturday, Oct. 3, in the lot next to Hagerstown Trust on North Main Street from 9:30 a.m. until sold out.

    Yard sale

    Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Rohrersville will hold a yard and bake sale Saturday, Oct. 3, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Friendship Hall at the intersection of Md. 67 and Locust Grove Road. Furniture, clothing, children's toys and other items will be available (donations are accepted). Country ham sandwiches, homemade soups and baked goods will be for sale. Proceeds will go to the Mount Zion Needy Family Fund.


Pumpkin bingo

Trinity Lutheran Church, at 64 S. Main St., will hold a pumpkin bingo in the social hall Friday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. Bring a nonperishable food item as your ticket, which will support the local food bank and you might win a pumpkin. Bring munchies and drinks.


The BHS class of 2010 invites you Back to Boonsboro. Come and celebrate BHS homecoming and 50 years of Warrior football at a tailgate party Friday, Oct. 16, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Festivities will be held on the practice field. There is no admission charge. Food, drinks and BHS merchandise will be available for purchase.

Seniors to meet

The Boonsboro Seniors Club meets the second Tuesday of the month at 11 a.m. in the social hall of Trinity Lutheran Church at 64 S. Main St. The group will share a covered dish luncheon at noon. For more information, call Zella Hargett at 301-432-8153.
