Pa. agencies conduct large enforcement effort



CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - An enforcement detail involving 11 agencies was conducted in Franklin County Friday, according to a Pennsylvania State Police press release.

The detail consisted of several warrant service attempts, a roving drunken driving and drug interdiction detail, routine traffic and criminal enforcement and a check of eight local liquor establishments for any liquor law violations, the release said.

As a result of the detail, which was conducted between 7 p.m. and 2 a.m., three warrants were served, four probation violations were issued, two underage arrests were made, 14 warnings were written, two DUI arrests were made, one marijuana arrest was made, 14 traffic citations were issued and several vehicle searches were conducted.

Also, one driver with a driver's license suspended for DUI was arrested for DUI, his third offense, the release said.




Hagerstown police respond to incidents



The Hagerstown Police Department responded to the following incidents, according to spokeswoman Barbara Pickett.

Thursday:

  • Bad checks were reported in the 100 block of North Burhans Boulevard.

  • Controlled dangerous substance violations were reported in the 400 block of Salem Avenue.

  • A breaking and entering was reported in the 500 block of Wilson Boulevard. Power tools and aluminum rolls stolen.

  • Damage was reported to a kitchen during a burglary to a basement apartment on East Avenue.

  • Burglary reported at an apartment on Mulberry Street. A 19 inch flat screen television and house keys were stolen.

  • A screen was reported damaged in the in the 700 block of Park Lane.

  • A door window was reported damaged in the 400 block of Franklin Street.

  • Cash was reported stolen in the 400 block of Michigan Avenue.

  • A Ford F-150 was reported stolen in the 500 block of Virginia Avenue.

  • A missing 16-year-old male was reported in the 1000 block of Noland Drive.

    Friday:

  • A Dell desktop computer was reported stolen in the 900 block of Elkridge Drive.

  • A red 2008 Wildfire scooter was reported stolen in the 700 block of Park Lane.

  • A windshield was reported damaged in the 400 block of Jonathan Street.

  • A wallet was reported stolen from an apartment in the 900 block of Pope Avenue.

  • Over-the-counter medication was reported stolen in the 1700 block of Dual Highway.

  • A wallet was reported stolen during a burglary in an apartment on Potomac Street.

  • DVDs were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 500 block of Mulberry Street.

  • A trespassing was reported in the 100 block of South Potomac Street. Arrest made.

    Saturday

  • Trespassing was reported at Sheetz at 301 E. Washington St. Two arrests made.

    Juvenile arrests

  • Damage to property was reported at Antietam Academy. No date given. Male offender.

  • Detention warrant on Friday on East Baltimore Street. Male offender.

  • Knives confiscated at Northern Middle School on Friday. Male offender.

    Domestic violence

  • Second-degree assault was reported in the 1200 block of Wayne Avenue. Arrest made.
