BOONSBORO, Md. - Marvin P. Stouffer, 84, of Boonsboro, died peacefully on Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at Broadmore Senior Living in Hagerstown.
Born Jan. 23, 1925, he was the son of the late Ernest and Lottie (Kinsey) Stouffer.
His wife of 52 years, Belva Martha (Summers) Stouffer, died March 29, 2004.
Mr. Stouffer retired in 1986 from Hall's Transit after 21 years of employment. More recently, he worked at Black Rock Golf Course in Hagerstown.
Marvin was a member of Benevola United Methodist Church near Boonsboro.
He is survived by two daughters, Dolores Yvonne Slattery and husband, Jerome Jr., of Keedysville, Md., and Darlene Marie Brunner and husband, Warren, of Frederick, Md.; two sons, Gale Eugene Stouffer and wife, Wanda, of Hagerstown, Md., and Gary Lynn Stouffer of Smithsburg, Md.; one brother, Fayette Stouffer of Mt. Lena, Md.; one sister, Vivian Van Voorhis of Hagerstown; one granddaughter, Audra Lynn Perks and husband, Robert, of Charles Town, W.Va.; one stepgrandson, Bradley Alan Taylor of Hagerstown; one great-grandson, Adrian Robert Perks; and one great-granddaughter, Xaira Lynn Perks.
