Greg Garner, a financial adviser with Edward Jones in Hagerstown will host "Outlook and Opportunities: 10 Reasons to Be a Long-term Bull" investment strategies seminar Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 11:30 a.m. at Nick's Airport Inn.

Some of the topics to be covered in the seminar include what one needs to know about inflation, why this recession hasn't turned into another Great Depression and how to best prepare for what lies ahead.

Washington County Dept. of Social Services



The Washington County Department of Social Services' "Wordsmiths" recently received recognition from Toastmasters International for being a Select Distinguished Club.

To earn the honor, the local club achieved seven of 10 goals set by the national organization.

The accomplishments included organizing exciting club meetings, speaking and leadership opportunities for all members, and membership growth.

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Orrstown Financial Services Inc. recently reinstated its Voluntary Cash Contribution investment option under its Stockholder Dividend Reinvestment and Stock Purchase Plan.

The Voluntary Cash Contribution investment option is being reinstated on the same terms as were in effect at the time of its suspension in 2002.
