Sheriff's Department responds to incidents

The Washington County Sheriff's Department responded to the following incidents, according to Lt. Mark Knight:


  • At 1:08 p.m., an ATM card was reported stolen from a post office box at the Funkstown post office. The card was used in Cambridge, Md.

  • At 2:16 p.m., prescription medication was reported stolen from Salisbury Street in Williamsport.

  • At 2:34 p.m., about 80 CDs were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 18700 block of Mesa Terrace.

  • At 4:14 p.m., a ring was reported stolen from a residence in the 7700 block of Sharpsburg Pike.

  • At 8:52 p.m., a protection order violation was reported in the 12800 block of Resh Road.

  • At 9:22 p.m., a vehicle was reported keyed in the 300 block of Pangborn Boulevard.

  • A radio was reported stolen from a truck at Freightliner on Hopewell Road. The time it was reported was unclear.


  • At 3:49 a.m., a residence on Vermont Street was reported broken into. Beer and food were stolen.

  • At 11:53 a.m., damage to a vehicle seat was reported in the 21400 block of Greenbriar Road.

  • At 12:40 p.m., a shoplifter was caught at Martin's on North Pointe Drive. Store officials will handle the case.

  • At 2:15 p.m., a ring and a watch valued at more than $20,000 were reported stolen in the 9000 block of Wildberry Court.

  • At 2:43 p.m., four packs of Gillette razors were reported stolen at Martin's on North Pointe Drive.

  • At 6:13 p.m., a juvenile was reported caught stealing clothing at Kohl's on Cole Road. Store officials will handle the case.
