September 18, 2009

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- A 24-year-old Martinsburg man who police allege sold crack cocaine to a member of the Eastern Panhandle Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force at the McDonald's on Apple Harvest Drive, was arrested Thursday night, according to court records.

Arthur Lee Walker, aka ACE, of 31 Snipe Lane, was charged with obstructing an officer, distribution of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, according to court records. He was in Eastern Regional Jail on a $110,000 bond set Friday by Magistrate W. Randy Smith, records show.

Walker was found with bags of crack cocaine after police subdued him with a taser in the restaurant parking lot, according to a complaint by Berkeley County Sheriff's Cpl. T.A. Young.

Police twice called Walker to make deals -- at 9:18 p.m. and again at 9:50 p.m. -- next to the trash receptacle in the back of the parking lot of the restaurant, according to Young's complaint.
