Police seek two in theft from lounge

September 17, 2009

INWOOD, W.Va. -- Police were looking for two men who they allege distracted a lounge employee by spilling beer before stealing money from the cash register Monday night in Inwood.

The incident happened at about 8 p.m. at The 51-11 Lounge near the intersection of Winchester Avenue and Middleway Pike in Inwood, according to a news release by Berkeley County Sheriff's Lt. Gary Harmison.

"The individuals spilled a beer in the video room and when the female worker came in to clean it up, one of the subjects removed money from the register," Harmison said in the news release.

Security camera images show one man with the beer in his hand and the other was wearing an Under Armour shirt.
