MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- Martinsburg Police were looking for a 20-year-old man in connection with a Tuesday night shooting in which a woman was wounded in the 100 block of North Maple Avenue, Lt. G.B. Swartwood said Wednesday in a press release.

Police obtained a felony warrant for the arrest of Marwin Uriah Wilson, also known as "Marco," on a charge of malicious wounding, Swartwood said.

Wilson is about 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 155 pounds, Swartwood said.

Police were called to the scene of the shooting at 8:48 p.m. Tuesday, where they found Stacey Yvonne Burnett, 32, lying on the sidewalk with a single gunshot wound to her leg, Sgt. T.L. Stanley said in a release Tuesday night.

Burnett was taken to City Hospital, where she was treated and released, Stanley said.

Police were looking into the possibility that the incident was related to a second call later Tuesday night, Swartwood said.

At 9:55 p.m., Martinsburg Police responded to the 100 block of Centre Street and found that a shot was fired at a residence and a single bullet entered the residence through a window, police said.

No one was injured in that incident.

Anyone with information on Wilson's whereabouts may contact Martinsburg Police at 304-264-2100.
