Dunker Church, Antietam National Battlefield, Sharpsburg, Jeff Bach, Church of the Brethren historian and director of the Young Center at Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, Pa., will be the preacher for the 39th annual Dunker Church service this Sunday at 3 p.m. Built in 1853 and heavily damaged in the Sept. 17, 1862, Battle of Antietam, the building underwent extensive repairs and services resumed in the summer of 1864. This service is sponsored by area Churches of the Brethren.

Shafer Memorial Park, Boonsboro, a special religious service will be held this Sunday at 10 a.m. The New Creation Choir will be singing.

Mountain View Baptist Church, 12107 Walnut Point Road, Hagerstown, this Sunday during the congregation's 31st anniversary celebration, Evangelist Charles Tenney will be speaking at the 9:30, 10:30 and 7 p.m. services. The Rochesters will be singing at the two morning services. Dinner on the grounds will follow the morning worship.


Kingdom Life Cathedral, 513 W. 3rd Ave., Ranson, W.Va., on Sept. 16 at 7 p.m., there will be a pre-celebration of the upcoming 75th church anniversary with Bishop Charles Hunter and the Ebenezer Mount Calvary family. On Sept. 19, a prayer breakfast will be from 9 a.m. to noon.

Marlowe Assembly of God, 9045 Williamsport Pike, Falling Waters, W.Va., the Outta This World kids crusade is Sept. 17-19 at 6:30 nightly. Bryant and Holly Markie will be leading this family event especially geared to children ages 4-14, puppets, drama, stories, games and prizes.

World Harvest Outreach, 1090 Wayne Ave., Chambersburg, Pa., a weekend with Ret. General Jerry Boykin and Sam Soleyn for Kingdom Warriors Fathers and Sons conference will be Sept. 18-20. Call 717-709-1129 for information and registration.

Tom's Creek United Methodist Church, Md. 140, Jim Farmer and Catoctin Promise Band will kick off the annual revival Friday, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m. Chris Holmes and the Emmitsburg Children's Choir will be featured Saturday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m. Refreshments and fellowship.

Hope Bridge Church, 920 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, Women of Valor Ministries will be gathering Friday, Sept. 18, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. for an evening of fellowship, refreshments, devotions and prayer. Bring a food to share. The teaching this month is entitled What's Your Foundation? and will be presented by Nancy Derrick.

Big Pool Community Building, as a part of the Servant Evangelism Program of the United Methodist Church, a community free breakfast sponsored by the Mount Carmel United Methodist Church will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, from 7 to 9:30 a.m.
