Fugitive from Florida caught in Martinsburg



MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- A man wanted as a fugitive from Florida was caught Wednesday in Martinsburg, according to a Martinsburg Police Department press release.

Nicholas Jacob Leverich, 21, was arrested in the 600 block of West King Street, police said.

Leverich was wanted on a charge of home invasion robbery and allegedly violating his probation, police said.

Man accused of shooting gun near his brother



MERCERSBURG, Pa. -- A Mercersburg man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly shooting a gun near his brother, according to a Pennsylvania State Police press release.

John William Decyk II, 24, was charged with aggravated assault and two counts each of simple assault and recklessly endangering another person, troopers said.

Decyk shot a .22-caliber revolver past the head of his brother, William John Decyk II, during a domestic argument at a home on South Park Avenue, troopers said.

William John Decyk II was charged with disorderly conduct, and Tiffany N. Koppenhaver, who also was present, was charged with harassment, troopers said.
