Great value in single family homes - starting at $189,900

September 11, 2009

Pheasant Run is a community of new homes in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, where homeowners can enjoy rural living with modern conveniences. Home prices start at $189,900 and include loads of upgrades. Additionally, 100% financing is available to qualified homebuyers. The homes are built by Mt. Tabor Builders, a local custom builder, and developed by Pheasant Run Development Group (PRDG). Mike Dropik, owner of PRDG said, "I chose Mt. Tabor Builders because they have very high standards for quality and craftsmanship."

An Open House will be held this weekend, September 12 and 13, from noon - 3:00 p.m. Three home models are currently available at Pheasant Run. The furnished model is the Fairfax with 2,000 sq. ft. of living space, of which 1,500 sq. feet is finished.

Granite countertops, Berber carpeting, hardwood foyer, stainless steel appliances, Andersen windows, oil bronzed lighting and plumbing fixtures, a finished laundry room and a very large 2-car garage are just some the features of this home. The new homeowner will appreciate the walk-in closet and vaulted ceiling in the spacious master bedroom. The master bath contains a soaking tub, separate shower and large vanity. The model, equipped with these features, is priced at $199,900.

The Montgomery is currently under construction. It is listed for $196,900 and features 1,980 square feet of living space. Additionally, a third model, the Dorchester, has just been introduced. It starts at $189,900 and features 1,660 square feet of living space. Buyers can choose any of these designs, or bring one of their own, to build on one of 89 quarter-acre lots at Pheasant Run.

The development is located on the west side of historic Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. "The location is convenient to the tri-state area and starting under $190,000, we are offering a brand new, quality-built home, with lots of modern upgrades at an exceptional value," said Dropik.

Waynesboro provides a welcome contrast to the stress and crowded conditions of suburban city life. Located just north of the Maryland state line, Waynesboro is minutes away from major highways and a short commute to Hagerstown, Frederick or Gettysburg. The region is surrounded by beautiful mountains and landscape. Plenty of shopping, dining and a variety of recreational, cultural and entertainment opportunities are nearby.

A tax credit of up to $8,000 is available for qualified first-time home buyers purchasing a principal residence before December 1, 2009. Unlike the tax credit enacted in 2008, this credit does not have to be repaid.

Be sure to visit the open house at 5497 Tick Ridge Rd. September 12 and 13, from noon - 3:00 p.m. each day.
