FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Miriam E. Eberly, 93, of 1352 Woodstock Road, Fayetteville, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at her home. Born July 7, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Ella Martin Baer. She was the widow of Reuben W. Eberly, who preceded her in death on March 9, 2002.

Miriam was a member of Spring Valley Mennonite Fellowship. A homemaker, she spent most of her life raising and caring for her family.

She is survived by 11 children, Audrey J. Clugston and Eugene (and wife, Janet) Eberly of Fayetteville, Gerald (and wife, Elaine) Eberly of Ghent, N.Y., Phyllis (and husband, Larry) Troyer of Lincoln, Del., Marie (and husband, Leroy) Keim of Salem, Ohio, Wilma (and husband, Wilbur) Zehr of Halsey, Ore., Barbara (and husband, William) Schuler of Marietta, Pa., Betty (and husband, Joseph) Hostetter of Dongola, Ill., Kaye (and husband, Elmer) Martin of Halsey, Daniel (and wife, Carol) Eberly of Fayetteville and Duane (and wife, Carolyn) Eberly of Ontario, Ore.; two brothers, Harry Baer of Dunster, British Columbia, and Nelson Baer of Hagerstown, Md.; 57 grandchildren; 141 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at Spring Valley Mennonite Fellowship, 3851 Spring Road, Chambersburg, Pa., with the Home Brethren officiating. Interment will follow in Chambersburg Mennonite Cemetery. The family requests the omission of flowers. Viewing hours are scheduled for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, and also from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg.
