FREDERICK, Md. - Mr. Rudolph McKinley "Josh" Blank, 91, of Frederick, died on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at the Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park. He was the husband of the late Naomi Stine Blank, who died on April 4, 1973.
Born in Frederick, on Nov. 2, 1917, he was a son of the late Wilfred G. and Effie Delauter Blank. He was the last of his immediate family.
Mr. Blank proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Army. Most of his life he worked as a stone mason, having worked in several cathedrals and churches in the Washington, D.C., area, also at Mount Saint Mary's and was the last living stone mason who worked on the bell tower in Baker Park in Frederick.
